Hello everyone!

My name is Tiia Kares, I am 26 years old student from Turku.  After high school I spent some time off from school and travelled a lot. Travelling is my passion and every time I have an opportunity (read: money) I go abroad.  I have worked in many different companies for example Bayer Schering Pharma, United Colors of Benetton, Nokia and Punanaamio.

Currently I am studying Beauty Business and Management at Turku University of Applied Sciences. Last year I spent in France studying international business. My exchange year changed my life completely and opened new opportunities for me. I have been in Paris the first time in 2009 and since that it has been my favorite city but now I totally fell in love with French culture, people, way of life and everything else even more than before. I also got an internship as a Sales Manager Assistant trainee at The Innovation Company in France starting from January. I couldn’t miss the opportunity so now I have a lot of work to do to get all my courses done before that.

This is my first Inno58 and I am looking forward to it. I participate a little bit later than others but I will catch up.  I am very motivated student and I will manage it even if the time is limited.

By the way this is my very first blog post so I hope it goes to right place 😀

/Tiia

That’s me 🙂

Raisio Oyj Brands (2012)

I did searches about Raisio`s brands and here is something I found from their web page:

Raisio’s Brands Division is divided into two units: Consumer brands and Licensed brands. Consumer brands unit includes all food operations in the Western, Northern and Eastern European market areas. Licensed brands unit includes Benecol and the IPR of the new Benemilk feed innovation.

The product range of Raisio’s Brands Division includes breakfast, snack and baking products as well as Benecol product ingredient plant stanol ester. In addition, the range is complemented with confectionery. Raisio’s recognised food brands are Benecol, Elovena, Honey Monster, Sunnuntai, Harvest Cheweee and Nordic while Fox’s, Poppets and Juicee Gummee are the company’s best-known confectionery brands.

The company’s key markets for consumer products include Finland, UK, Czech Republic, Sweden, Russia, Ukraine, Poland and Estonia. The UK is the largest market area of Raisio’s Brands Division. In 2012, its net sales increased to over 45 per cent of the Division’s total. Confectionery company Candy Plus is included in the Western European figures from 13 November 2012. Sulma’s pasta and grits business became part of the Eastern European operations on 20 March 2012.

Benecol is the original expert in cholesterol-lowering and plant stanol ester of Benecol products has been chosen one of the world’s most significant nutritional innovations. Benecol products are sold in 30 countries on five continents. Benecol® is Raisio’s trademark and plant stanol ester the company’s widely patented ingredient of Benecol products.

Hi, I’m Marianne!

So, my name is Marianne, I’m 23 years old and studying Hospitality Management in Turku University of Applied Sciences. This is my second year. I find myself as a positive person who always tries to be open minded to all kind of new things. My weaknesses are occasional laziness and time management!

After I graduated from high school, I moved abroad.  I have lived in Spain and Greece, mainly in tourist areas though, and worked e.g. for Finnmatkat which belongs to the Nordic part of TUI Travel Plc. Overall, I’m really interested in traveling but also culinary delights, music, movies, etc. include my interests.

This is the first time I’m taking part in the INNO58 and I really look forward what kind of new interesting things and methods this course has to offer. I hope we’ll have lots of fun!

-Marianne

Björn Juhlin

I’m Björn Juhlin, of group Lucky Number Seven. I come from Malmö and moved to Turku 2008. I’m studying Business of Economics at Åbo Akademi (accounting as major), this is my third year. Have done the INNO 58h course twice before and look forward to participate event this time. My interests are all activities related to water. Sailing, diving, surfing, swimming, fishing and at the moment I’m also running two aquariums! I could describe myself as an extrovert person who loves challenges. I’m burning for economics and I have always some new business concepts running in my head. Weaknesses are defenitely organizing and to work towards certain deadlines. At my spare time I mostly do clubbing, but sometimes I take my mountain bike out for a ride in the woods as well. My specialty is cooking. Favorite dish is lamb marinated with rosemary garlic, served with goat cheese potato gratin and wild onion sauce.

In my free time I like to watch TV Series and movies. Examples of my favourite TV series are Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones and many others.  My favourite movie is Trainspotting. I also like to spend time with my friends.

This is my first time in Inno58h course, so I don’t know anything about this. So let’s see!

Hej Hej ;)

My name is Benedikt Kick an Iam 24 years old. Originally i’m from a small village in the south part of Germany close to an old latin city called Regensburg!

After i had done my A-level i made an apprenticeship as an management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade and currently iam studying Business Aministration in the third semester here in the beautiful city of Turku at Novia University of Applied Sciences.

For myself this is an unique opportunity studying in an area, where the finish and swedish culture comes together. What i like most about Finland is the nature, the archipelago and of course going to Sauna and swiming in the sea after that!

Furthermore i’m looking forward to take part in the INNO58 course. I think it will be a great experience working in a team, creating some ideas for Innovation and working close together with a company!

On my spare time i like doing sports as much as possibly and especially playing football!

That’s all right now! Here is a picture of me trying to catch some fishes with an wooden hinge 😉1378679_578802405518040_955614520_n

Hello, I am Laura

I’m Laura, a 32 year old student from Turku University of Applied Sciences where
I study Hospitality Management. (2nd year)
When I´m not studying I like to to travel as much as possible! My second hobby is running.
I also have two children that keep me busy 😉 …and husband.
Next spring our family is going to spend in The Netherlands where I go to
study Facility Management.

I participated in this course last spring, so this is my second time here in INNO58. Nice to be here again! Last time
we had a lot of fun especially in the camp. Let’s hope that this time there is also a lot
of fun if not even better! Innovation is a new way of learning and certainly useful in all fields.

Nice to meet new people from different backgrounds!

Random fact: Traveling is my passion!

Who am I?

So here’s a short presentation of who I am.

My name is Simon, I’m 22 years old and I’m from a town called Pargas (Parainen). I’m currently studying International Marketing at the School of Business and Economics at Åbo Akademi. I’m interested in digital marketing and consumer psychology. I intend to write my bachelor thesis this spring.

This is the second time I’m doing the Inno58H course and I really enjoyed the last time, though it didn’t go that smoothly because our team leader had to quit the course and the company that gave us our task seemed very disinterested. This year I hope we’ll be able to have better contact to the company we’re working for and that our team will work smoothly, but I have no reason to doubt that, the first meeting went really well.

On my spare time I’m usually caught up in some kind of cultural event. I’ve been involved in many theatre productions, as an actor as well as a writer and producer. Besides theatre I’ve been performing as a stand up comedian for roughly the past five years. I also like to play bass though I’m no good at it.

That’s about all I come up with right now. Here’s a picture of me swimming in a swamp:

I do not recommend this.

Until next time,

-Simon
